Volunteer Program

Pueblo Parks and Recreation Volunteer Program
Volunteers are fundamental to Pueblo Parks and Recreation!

Volunteers positively impact our parks by providing important services, assisting with special projects and building up our community without a negative financial impact. Volunteers achieve a sense of community pride for supporting one of Pueblo’s greatest resources. We have several volunteer opportunities available with Pueblo's Park and Recreation Department.

Volunteers can perform a variety of duties, including:
  • Help with beautification of a community, neighborhood, river trail, or open space.
  • Restore a native environment, improve wildlife habitat and plant wild flowers.
  • Paint murals in high graffiti areas.
  • Write playground grants.
  • Escort seniors on day trips and serve refreshments at fundraisers.
  • Assist in education of the public by leading educational tours of park arboretums.
  • Assist in offices with such tasks as answering phones, arranging files, greeting visitors and helping organize special events.
  • Adopt your neighborhood park and assist with beautification.
  • Become a volunteer coach and improve the life of a child through recreation!
