2016 Youth Summer Ball Programs

How to Become a Volunteer Coach
Pueblo Parks and Recreation will be seeking volunteer coaches for all youth sports. To become a volunteer coach, register online! All coaches must turn in a background check, volunteer contract, coach certification test and concussion test and must be approved by Pueblo Parks and Recreation. All coaches must attend a coaches meeting to pick up packets containing season information.
  • Registration: March 1 – April 30 Coaching Season: June 6–July 14 

  • Mandatory Coaches Meetings: May 17 or May 19 6:00pm at City Park Annex 3900 Nuckolls Ave, Pueblo CO 81003

  •  All coaches must submit all required documents to Pueblo Parks and Recreation prior to coaching. If your paperwork is NOT on file, you are not a coach. 

Lil Sluggers Youth T ball

Lil Sluggers Youth T ball develops the primary baseball skills of hitting, base running, fielding, throwing and a basic understanding of the fundamental rules. The program is coed and is noncompetitive. Parental involvement is highly encouraged.

Age divisions: 4-5, 6-7                          
Registration: March 1–April 15                           
Late registration: April 16-April 24

Big Hitters Youth Pitching Machine

Big Hitters Youth Pitching Machine Program is a noncompetitive program where players continue to work on basic skills while learning to hit a moving ball. This program is specifically designed to transition youth ball players from T-ball to the games of fast pitch softball and/or baseball.

Age divisions: 7-8, 9-10            
Registration: March 1–April 15                           
Late registration: April 16-April 24

Pueblo Athletic League Summer Baseball

The Pueblo Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite your child to become part of this fun and engaging summer program in the Historic Bessemer area. Trained staff, along with members of the Pueblo Bandits Fast Pitch Men’s Softball Team, will supervise this program. PAL will be offered Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00am–12:00pm. Participants must sign-up beginning on the first day and registration will continue throughout the duration of the program. A waiver and program registration form must be signed and returned by participants and their parents/guardians.
