Household Hazardous Chemical Collection in Pueblo October 19

Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment announced Pueblo city and county residents can mark their calendars for

Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 8:00am to noon
to bring household chemicals to:
Pueblo’s Household Hazardous Chemical Collection Event
at the
Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment
101 W. 9th Street.

“This free drive-up event allows Pueblo residents to have their household hazardous chemicals taken from their car,” described Andrea Crockenberg, health promotion specialist at the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment. Crockenberg added, “Pouring hazardous materials in the drain, flushing them down the toilet or throwing them in the trash has a negative impact on the environment, especially the water supply.”

Public Health officials encourage residents to gather unused hazardous chemicals from summer yard projects and household improvements and plan to attend the event on October 19, 2019.
